This black and silver coloured basque from the Fifty Shades Of Grey collection has a luxurious feel and is made from sheer black mesh with silver lace detail. The sides and back are made from a lovely soft, stretchy material. The silver lace detail oozes quality and is reminiscent of high-end boutique lingerie. I am a size-10 with a size 34D bust and ordered this set in size medium and it fits me perfectly. The material has some stretch to it and will therefore be a flattering fit for a range of body shapes. There are three positions of hook-and-eye running the length of the back of the basque and this ensures a perfect fit. I am 5’6” and the length of this basque is ideal for me, just reaching my bottom to reveal enough to tease. The double shoulder straps and plunge neckline gives a really sexy look. There are six plastic bones which gives a lovely smooth curved shape and is extremely comfortable to wear. The bust is underwired with soft padding. Together the soft padding and underwire provide the perfect amount of shape and uplift. There are adjustable suspender straps which are not removable which means the basque has to be worn with stockings. This set comes with a really nice matching G-string which also fitted me perfectly. It is made from black lace with the silver detail and has double straps to the back for a very sexy look. I really love this new line of Fifty Shades of Grey lingerie. The attention to even the tiniest detail along with high-quality materials and beautiful design suggests that a lot of thought has gone into making this a truly luxurious outfit. Sexy Silver

This is a gorgeous basque set with matching thong that I was sent for review, thanks Lovehoney! This beautiful silver and black corset looks almost feral and animalistic with the striking pattern, I love it! Although it isn’t animal print it looks a bit like it. There is some boning down the sides to create a sexy silhouette. There are also lines going across the centre of the waist which look striking when it’s on. It’s quite an unusual design and different to everything else in my collection! There’s a low V design in between the boobs which is so sexy, this shows a bit more flesh and creates the illusion of separation between the breasts. It fits flat against my skin. The cups then lightly skim over my nipples showing ample flesh, and the elastic straps run either side of my boobs, separating them further and altering their shape. It feels quite vintage in terms of the design, but at the same time the striking silver pattern gives a more modern look. There are three rows of hook and eye fastenings at the back which is always helpful as it gives greater options to get the best fit. I’m a size 10 and I use the middle row, which fits me comfortably but also tight enough that it doesn’t move around. The suspender straps are slim and quite long so ideal for people with longer legs, but they can be adjusted for those of us who are a little shorter! They’re attached to the basque so can’t be removed. The matching thong is beautiful and I like the fact you get a full set. If I’m going to be picky, I do prefer briefs or at least something that covers part of my bum cheeks as I think thongs make my cheeks look huge! But from the front, it looks awesome. As for comfort, I wore it all day and it didn’t dig in anywhere other than the boning dug into my thighs as I was sat upright, but that’s normal for a boned basque. I didn’t spill out over the tops of the cups and the thong was comfortable too. This is a striking looking basque that is a great addition to my collection, I feel really sexy when wearing it and it gave hubby twinges when I wore it for him, so top marks!

Beautiful and very well made.

We already have a couple of basques in our collection, but so far we have nothing from the Fifty Shades range. This particular lingerie came to us as a tester item and my initial impression was that it was really a well-made, high-quality item, but initially I wasn’t sure about the extensive silver decoration. A big plus point was that it was easy to put on. Although it fastens down the back with a row of hooks and eyes (in fact three rows of eyes to allow for adjustment), the fasteners are sensibly spaced so that stretching the fabric to fasten one hook does not unfasten the previous one (which is a frustrating and unwanted feature of one of the other Basques we own). Once on and adjusted, it looked really good and my reservations about the decoration proved completely unfounded. The whole effect was really impressive. My wife is a Size 12 and this Size M basque fitted her perfectly. The boning shaped her figure beautifully without being uncomfortable and the underwired cups supported her bust well. We’re both in our late 60’s so she needs the extra support now. The double crossover shoulder straps were a nice feature too. The G-string panties also fitted her well and complemented the basque perfectly. To be honest she looked stunning. The only small criticism is that we both find stockings inconvenient during our sex sessions, so it would have been nice to have the suspender straps removable. This is a minor point though. All in all this Basque set feels high end, fits perfectly and looks absolutely gorgeous on my wife.

We were certainly captivated

Like many, I have read the Fifty Shades of Grey books, so I was really excited to see the Captivate basque in person and I certainly wasn't disappointed! On first impressions the colour and pattern paired together are so striking, its a very grown-up set and extremely sexy. The basque itself is made of a sheer panelling (with exception to the bra cups) and a beautiful pattern lines the cups, the top of the basque and draws your eye to the centre. There is a soft corset-like boning around your middle, as well as the cups themselves being underwired. To match the delicate strapping to the shoulders and breast area, there are four thin suspender straps. They are not detachable sadly but they really intrigued me because they're a lovely black metal that hide discreetly underneath the ribbon. Finally we can't forget that G-string, I hate G-strings with a passion. However, I like the effort that's been made to tie it in with the silver patterning and the strapping that skims your peachy butt cheeks. If more of these G-strings were like this, I'd be a very happy lady as I often find myself not wearing them. I'm a size 10/12 and a 34DD/E so I went with a medium. This was perfect in size for me, I also really appreciate the underwiring of the cups, as being a bigger bra size I feel I need the support as it gives me that little bit more confidence. Where to start, this is a jaw-dropping set, I absolutely love the strapping around my breasts and the plunge cleavage really draws attention to the chest area. The patterning is genius as not only is it gorgeous but its also quite clever with its little bit of magic by drawing the eye to that area and making your waist look smaller. This paired with the corset-like boning made me feel super sexy and confident as it hugged and skimmed my curves. The only issue I had was putting it on, it's not easy as there are lots of mini eye hooks but it's manageable and once it's on rest assured it's so comfortable to wear and no boobs escaped during action! Summary I was very excited to receive this in my post, it's such a stunning set, it certainly wowed my husband when he saw me wearing it. It's really important to have the underwiring in bra cups for me and I had exactly this, it was also such a nice surprise to discover the boning to it, I love the fitted feeling but it gave such an amazing shape to my figure as it skimmed my curves. The only thing I think I could pick at is I would have loved the suspenders to be detachable, as lovely as they are it's nice to change it up but it's certainly not a deal-breaker for me. If you are needing a little pick me up or are wanting to treat yourself this is definitely a must-have, this is the first set I've had big wows from the husband in a while.

Completely captivating

This beautiful basque looks amazing, both on and off the hanger, so to speak. The black/silver lace combination is sooo striking and the cinched waist is just *chef's kiss* My wife did find that the cups were not large enough for her, and thought they did an amazing job of boosting her boobs (much to my delight), she felt a little self-conscious and cartoonish wearing this. Not the kind of feeling you want in your sexy times. :( That isn't a reflection on the piece itself, though - this is a gorgeous basque that fits really well, accenting your positives. I'd just give it a miss if you have larger breasts (my wife is 34FF).

Strappy and sexy

This is a pretty piece of lingerie, there isn't any way around it. When I unpacked it, i just looked at it for a moment, the contrast of the black and silver on the front looks amazing. I was a little concerned about all the mesh panelling on the sides showing up my tummy a bit, but once it is on, it looks amazing, so i didn't worry any more. The quality of this piece is very good, and feels good to the touch, it feels great to wear, and looks good on too. There are very narrow straps for the suspender clasps, which always worries me about whether they will release or pop off, but the metal claps kept everything locked in just fine. Comfort wise, this is a good fit for 1/2x size, and I didn't feel to squeezed in, which has been a small problem in the past. The matching thing with this set is also of good quality, and vey comfortable to wear, so a bonus. All in all, really nice to wear, and very sexy to look at. you will feel amazing in this.

We were very excited to be offered the two tone Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Black & Silver Basque Set size 1x/2x as a secret tester in exchange for a review.Arriving in the usual discreet cardboard box we opened this to reveal the separate Basque and matching thong in a cellophane bag and my wife’s initial impression was ‘Wow that is really beautiful and the material is great’.My wife is 5’ 6”, a pear shaped size 18 with a long torso and sometimes struggles with clothing of this nature but the strong flexible black vertical boning immediately pulled the basque in against my wife's body beautifully, which accentuated her hour glass figure perfectly, and her 38C breasts sat wonderfully in the minimally padded cups.The silver X style design in the centre of the basque, encompassing the cups and chest edging, against the black is fantastic and the purple horizontal piping criss crossing the torso over the vertical bones is simply stunning.The transparent black material allowed plenty to be seen whilst hiding any tummy/stretch marks/ insecurities which maximised her body confidence – to be honest she simply looked sublime.The two adjustable straps across the shoulders draw your attention towards the chest with an additional deep cut central incision encouraging you to follow the line through the basque down towards the groin and built in suspender straps (non removable).The matching thong is also beautifully made with a triangle being formed at the base of the spine which again draws the eye and wonderfully frames the bottom.We teamed the basque with sheer black stockings and patent high heels which really finished the whole outfit.My wife felt amazing, confident and looked very, very, sexy. Basques are possibly one of the sexiest items of lingerie available they give the impression of a corset without the discomfort. This set is no exception. The moulded cups round and shape your bust whilst the light boning subtlety shapes your waist. The plunging neckline is cleavage enhancing. I am a size 18-20, C cup bust, rounded tummy and bum and the XL/2X fits beautifully. The positives are enhances whilst the not so positives are disguised.They lace detailing is absolutely stunning. It is such an unusual pattern in the prettiest of greys. The stitching on the lingerie is perfect, it is as always a high quality item. It is easy to put on and take off with the standard hook and eye fastening, the suspenders are NOT detachable but this style of Basque really needs the stockings. I have worn this with nude, black and lacey stockings. All of which look fantastic. The thong review with be brief, pun definitely intended. It adds to the outfit without taking focus away. Is it comfy? Yep just as any other thong is. The sizing is great not to big and not too tight. Happy happy happy!My husband loves this on me. I am a size 18, 5ft9 tall and have a size 38/40C bust.I have many basques from Lovehoney in size 1x/2x and sizing is normally very good on me, wearing them on the middle or tightest setting. The design is so unique, I've not had any lingerie like it before. The material is high quality. The cup size could be a little bigger as there was a bit of spilidge. The only other negative would be that it was packed in a tiny box so it was a little misshapen when it arrived. But honestly love it, very forgiving and makes me feel sexy

This looks great on but it wasnt a perfect fit. It fit really well around the bum and tum but was too big at the bust. The fabric is great quality and I feel fantastic wearing this.
