When I received an email stating that Lovehoney was sending me these hot pants in exchange for an honest review, I couldn't be more excited. I love wet look items but didn't have any hot pants yet, so the opportunity to test these felt like a real treat to me. Lovehoney managed to surprise me with the delivery time of this item. It was sent by Priority Airmail, which is said to take 3-5 working days and it usually takes the full 5 working days for items to get to me as I'm not from the UK. This time, however, my item actually arrived within 3 working days, which meant it was just on time for the weekend. It was shipped in a plain, padded envelope which had some extra tape on the flap to ensure it stayed shut. There is no way the postal service could have seen what was in there, although they might have been able to guess it was a piece of clothing as it felt soft when you squeezed the envelope. Inside the envelope there was an overview of my order and a tiny plastic package which contained the hot pants. It's probably worth noting that this kind of packaging tends to come across as cheap because the plastic is usually plain, but that was not the case with these hot pants. In this case the plastic actually had 'Coquette' printed all over in a silver color and inside of the packaging the hot pants were wrapped in a piece of white tissue paper. There was also a little tag with a stock photo of the product on the inside, which could be useful in case you ordered multiple products at once or if you are gifting the item to your OH or a friend. To be honest, these are not the kind of details I would expect to see on the packaging of a product that costs only £9.99, so I sure do appreciate the fact that Coquette has done all of this. The packaging actually made the product feel more expensive than it really is. The first thing I noticed when I got the hot pants out of the packaging is how incredibly shiny they are. I knew the item was going to be a bit shiny judging by the looks of the stock photo, but I did not expect the photo to be this accurate. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of shine though. It gives these hot pants the perfect wet look. I also noticed that my pair of these hot pants is not sewn entirely accurately. The fabric pulls a bit at the center seams on both the front and the back side. This is not much of an issue when I put them on, as the fabric stretches out and you aren't able to see the pulling, but since I'm kind of a perfectionist it does annoy me a bit. Moving onto the fit of the hot pants, I have to say that they fit fine on my size 8 bottom, but the legs part on the front could have been a little shorter. I should also mention that on the stock photo the top edge on the front has a more subtle curve, whereas on me the top edge ends up looking a bit more V-shaped. Other than that, I think these hot pants look absolutely lovely and I really like how they hug my bum when I'm wearing them. Keep in mind that these hot pants are very, very tight, so they might not be your best option to wear outside unless you don't mind going commando. I tried them on while wearing a basic pair of panties, but even then you could see literally every seam of my panties through the fabric.
