Love this set as the lace is very pretty, but the added wet look details make it sexy. Fit quality is great and the stretchy fabric also make it very comfortable to wear. I'm usually a 10-12, so bought the medium. Love the suspender details too as it makes it different to most of my other sets. Overall, great set. Would recommend!

I saw this advertised and had to buy it because it’s the first set I’ve seen like it. I just received this and I am in love. For the price, I was sceptical because normally a nice bra can cost the same as this set, it’s amazing! Would 100% recommend! (Better playing it safe and going the size up if like me you’re midsize.)

This was a big success for us both. My wife loved it for the comfort, the fit, the build quality, and the confidence it gave her. As for me, I was just stunned when she stepped out from behind the door in this number! It’s a strong look, and very sexy. The lace mesh is pretty, with a gentle hint of snakeskin, and has a bit of stretch. This moves and stretches well with the stretch seams, gorgeous wide wet-look waistband and underbust band, and stretch fabric gusset panels. Everything is really nicely constructed and feels durable. The top is surprisingly supportive and comfortable for my wife’s E-cup assets. Just as importantly, they look fantastic! The strong underbust band definitely helps with this. The suspender strap details are also a lovely touch. The whole outfit says fierce confident domme, but the lace and delicate strappy details give nice hints of a softer feminine side. These straps are removable, or can be swapped with our other ones that hold stockings. The top or bottom both work well as stand alone items, and the solid wet-look band on each works beautifully with other wet-look accessories. So many dressing up options!

I love this set. After having kids my body has changed a considerable amount, my boobs are non-existent and my “mum pouch” hangs over most low waisted items. I usually wear a size 8 and have tiny A cup boobs. I ordered a small and although I would say it is a bit tight it’s comfortable once worn. I feel great in this set, my partner enjoyed it too and likes the straps on the pants, not a big fan of thongs but he certainly wasn’t complaining. Would definitely recommend.

Constricted my confidence

I was very kindly sent this item to test and review - thank you, Lovehoney! In usual Lovehoney style, it arrived quickly, discreetly packaged and by a tracked delivery service so I knew when to expect my item. Because this was a secret tester, I didn't have all that much to go on before seeing it in person - I knew that it was from a new Lovehoney lingerie line called Serpentine, and the email had mentioned snakeskin-look material although I couldn't see much from the pictures available at the time. When I took it out of the packaging, I still couldn't see the snakeskin I was expecting. I would describe it more as wet look - it's just a slightly glossy black leather-look material, so if you're going into this wanting to fulfil your serpent fantasies, you're going to be disappointed! I'm a UK size 12, and kind of small-ish on the chest, and I found the top to this set quite constricting, on the arms, chest, and I also just found it a little too short. I wanted to be able to pull it down a little more, but it just doesn't stretch that way. I'm a C cup and I very much would not recommend this to anyone larger than that because it feels tiny to squeeze into. Because it's so tight it gives okay support, but it's just really not comfortable on me. I was hoping that I would be able to wear a bra underneath it and wear the top as lacy clubwear but I don't think I could possibly fit a bra underneath it, it's just so skintight. It does have an adjuster strap at the back with 3 sets of hooks and eyes (like a bra), but even on the loosest notch it just isn't viable for me. I think it would have probably been a better idea to have stretchier material and not gone for this minuscule level of adjustment. I mean, who wants to put on a top that they then have to fiddle around trying to fasten at the back? It's way comfier if I undo that, but because it has that band and the little peephole, it's really obvious that it's not being worn correctly. The thong is similarly designed with the adjuster strap at the back, and I'm just so not into it. Considering how restricting the elasticated waistband of this garment is because of the leather-look material - with all the unflattering lumps and bumps that inevitably brings - it just makes no sense to make it adjustable in such a small way, especially when it can come undone while you're wearing it and then you have to try to fasten your knicker's bra strap... The thong is crotchless but in such a way that combats a lot of the problems with regular crotchless underwear. Instead of just having a slit, each side of the fabric layers over each other so that it's not just an open hole. It's also in the right place which is very rare with crotchless underwear in my experience, and because of the layering design, it can easily be opened up further forward for clitoral access. The thong has the unusual addition of a kind of thigh garter strap attached to it. As far as I can see, it's not to attach stockings to. The goth girl in me loves the idea of this, but in practice, it just clings around the most wobbly part of my thighs and looks terrible. Fortunately, it has been designed in such a way that it is removable as the straps just unhook, so that's a blessing, but still isn't enough to save this set - I can't imagine wearing it because it just makes me feel so uncomfortable both on a physical and self-esteem based level. I'm sad to say that this set just looks so bad on me. Everything about it is restricting, uncomfortable, and leaves me hot and breathless in all the wrong ways. The wet-look material of the waistband and underbust band really dig in, leaving marks on me within minutes, and they also heat up against the skin while I'm wearing it so it is, unfortunately, the most uniquely uncomfortable thing to wear.

Ssssssssexy?

If you're looking for a playtime piece that differs from the usual corsets, nighties and dress-up outfits, this set could be the one for you. It's got a bondagey edge but without being massively restrictive or over the top. Additionaly the two-piece nature means you could easily mix and match the pieces with other bits you already own. The subtle snakeskin design of the lace is cute and makes a nice change from the more prevalent flower motifs. However, it has to be said that, if this didn't include 'serpentine' in the name, I don't think you'd necessarily know that there was meant to be a reptilian theme going on. The lace itself is soft, stretchy and feels lovely on the skin. The 'crop top' is finished with a thick leather-look band and fastens with a bra strap style hook and eye arrangement. I found the top quick and easy to get on and, while comfortable to wear, it did squish my (38 DD) breasts the point where I found it quite unflattering. Perhaps an additional padded bra underneath might give you a bit of a boost in that department but, without anything else underneath, my girls looked a bit sad and squashed. The bottom piece is essential some big knickers, same snakey lace and leather waistband, echoing the hem of the top. The attached leg straps are detachable which is a nice touch because you may or may not think they add anything to the look. They are literally for decoration and don't have the ability to attach stockings to them. They do look pretty in a strapped up bondage style but they're not suspenders. The bottoms are also crotchless which is always a nice saucy touch and this proved no issue with comfort as the gusset is soft and well positioned. This piece also fastens with a hook and eye at the back and leaves a nice little 'peep hole' aperture which further sexes up the look. Overall I didn't gel with this set. I found it very comfortable but not overly sexy. The crop top reminded me of something I had as a kid (pre-actual boobs), the sleeve length wasn't hugely alluring and the way my boobs were squashed down made me feel a bit boyish. So perhaps this piece might be better suited to someone with less up top. Similarly the bottoms just felt like big knickers with some strappy bits. Again, very comfortable but both myself and my husband agreed that this set (unlike the matching body in the same range) unfortunately didn't get any blood pumping when I wore it.

Guaranteed to feel sexy

I bought this to wear for my boyfriend's birthday. After having 2 kids, I usually opt for a body type lingerie instead of separates, but when I saw this it looked so flattering I couldn't stop thinking about it so ordered it. I tried it on and it feels amazing. Everything fits so well and the birthday boy definitely liked what he saw. The top is cute enough to be worn as a top - if you really wanted to and I like the fact the suspender parts can be removed.

I absolutely love this set. I’m a bit self conscious about my arms but love showing my bum and tummy off so this set was perfect for me and I felt really cute in it. Sizing was perfect too but there’s a bit of stretch in both the pants and the top. ????

Sized poorly and designed inconveniently

Im 5'10", 180lbs, 40C, ordered a L as suggested, but should have gone a size up. The material only stretches a little. The arms are not made for fat biceps and pinch. Both pieces have hook and eye clasps in the back that you cannot easily do up because you can't turn them on your body, its a very awkward and inconvenient design. This design looks better on people with bigger busts and smaller waists as usual. I wanted to feel sexy in this without thinking that I needed to loose weight or get breast implants and that didn't happen.
