Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Plus Size Black and Gold Basque Set

Stunning, and very sexy

The first think I noticed when unpacking this lovely basque set was the striking contrast of the black and gold, it really does look lovely. This continues when you touch the materials, it's a really well-made piece of lingerie, and just feels amazing against your skin. I had a little trouble with the neck choker as the catch at the back is a little fiddly. Luckily this is removable so it was discarded to prevent me from getting stuck in it again. Once on, its a really comfortable piece, and you can feel the quality of the materials against your skin. There nice thick detachable suspender straps at the bottom too, and with nice strong metal clasps, they didn't come loose or pop off, so that was nice. There is a mesh front thong that comes with the set, and I was surprised that this was also very good quality and very comfortable to wear. The free knickers can often be a bit hit and miss, but these are good, and will be worn on their own too. The fit is good for the size, I can feel a bit snug in some 1/2x pieces, however, this one has plenty of adjustment, so isn't a problem. All in, this is a lovely and comfortable piece that looks and feels amazing and will be worn often.

Long lingerie

This for me is a perfect fitting piece of lingerie! I am 5ft9, dress size 18 and have a size 38/40C bust. Due to my height, some basques come up short. This one, however, fits beautifully! It hugs all the right curves, is comfortable and looks so stunning it’s hard to express! This set is designed with a plus size lady in mind. The thick, soft straps give the bust plenty of support, keeping the breasts where they should be and enhances the cleavage. The gold detailed panel down the front is very flattering. It hides part of my stomach and gives me an extra confidence boost! I like how the boning of the basque crosses with the waist detail. It gives you a sexy caged look which I adore! The material is soft on the skin and feels great to the touch! The chocker is a lovely additional option as it is removable. I personally love it, but I did find the clasp (hook) a bit fiddly to take off. The suspenders are also removable so you can decided to wear stockings, hold ups or nothing. The thong is a nice addition. Usually I like a thicker strap on my underwear to hide my stomach. This being said, it didn’t matter with this set as the basque was long enough so I am more than happy with the thong too!

I love the look of this basque. The black mesh and satin design is actually quite simple, but the gold embroidery just takes it up to another level, especially when you add in the collar part. The whole look just oozes classy sexy appeal and is the perfect basque to help bring out your inner goddess. The fabric is really good quality and doesn't feel in danger of ripping. The strapping is both adjustable and wide, making it really comfortable to wear and easy to get the right fit. The sliders and clips are metal, which adds to the expensive feel of the piece although the actual suspender clips themselves are black plastic, which is a touch disappointing. Although I definitely think the collar completes the look really well, I do like that it is removable. The strap connecting it to the basque is adjustable, although the collar itself is not. There is a little stretch to it though and it will fit up to a bit over 15 inches. I am a size 18/20 (probably a little closer to size 20 at the moment) and have E cups boobs. I have this set in the 1X/2X size which should be a good fit. The cup size is definitely right for me. I would say that it would fit a little bit larger than me, but might swamp someone much smaller than a C or a D cup. The basque itself though, I found it fit perfectly on the tightest hook and eye closing, with enough wiggle room to put it on backwards and spin it round. If anything, this set does come up a little large. Because of the way Lovehoney do their sizing, I am not sure I would fit into the next size down, but if you are a size 20 who is maybe teetering on a 20/22, I think the 1X/2X might be the right size for you. The G-string that comes with it is not adjustable but is very stretchy and almost too big on me. I'm not massively impressed with the string, yes it does cover what it should, and the gold embroidery on the back is nice, but it does leave the front looking very plain. I think I'll be finding myself some plain, satin knickers to complete the look. Overall this is a beautiful basque that I love wearing. I am not a fan of the Fifty Shades franchise, but I do normally like the Lovehoney products inspired by it and this is no exception. There is the Fifty Shades tag at the top, which is pretty small and easily removable if wanted to.

Beautiful and Luxurious Basque

This truly is a beautiful piece. I was extremely happy when I opened up the parcel to see that it is just as lovely in person as in the photos. I already own a lot of black lingerie, but the yellow gold detailing really makes this piece stand out and it looks very elegant as well as sexy. The inclusion of the neck collar is also very striking. It is a little bit more awkward to put on than something like a body or baby doll as it has hook and eye fastening running all the way down the back. You could always ask a partner to help do these up, but it you wanted to surprise them I found that fastening it back to front worked well as I could easily get all the fastening secure and then shuffle it round my body to get everything in the right place before putting my arms into the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps, neck strap and suspender straps are easily adjustable. These straps are all wider than you usually come across. This helps with ease of adjustment. I also think this makes the straps more comfortable and look more in proportion to the body avoiding the cheese wire effect of some very thin straps. I usually wear a size 18 top, but probably more of a 20 now thanks to gaining weight during lockdown. I would say that the sizing is good and should fit most who are size 18-20. The fastening at the back has three settings, I wore this on the final setting and it was snug, but not too tight so I could have gone to the middle setting. The fabric has a good amount of stretch and the bones and cups give the piece good structure. I have D cup boobs and sometimes I find that the cups on plus size lingerie are designed for a bigger cup size and I am left with gaping cups. This was not the case with this item. The cups could have comfortably held larger breasts, but they weren't so roomy as to noticeably look underfilled. My only complaint with the fit is that the waist cinching line is too low down for my body and lines up more with the top of my hips. This is a shame as I think if it fell at the smallest point of my waist it really would have emphasised the hourglass shape. Overall I felt very comfortable and confident whilst wearing it. This first thing my partner said was that it definitely emphasises my boobs. Thumbs up from him. The basque comes with a matching thong. I personally don’t tend to ever use the matching thongs that come in sets like this, but it is nice to have the option. It is good that the thong does have the same gold detailing as the basque and the hip straps are nice and wide like the straps found on the basque. This would be a great buy for someone looking for a more structured piece that has an elegant edge. I go to fetish clubs fairly frequently and would absolutely wear this out. My only nitpick is that I dislike that there is a small gold Fifty Shades tag between the cups, but this is easy enough to remove if you wanted to do so.

This basque is a perfect set. Period.We were not able to see a single defect in the lace before putting it on and neither did we see any after using it, therefore the quality is maximum. Very soft and silky. The quality of the materials that we can find in this basque is only comparable to the most expensive lingerie brands on the market: quality is supreme.Design:I think it's the combination of materials and design that make this basque a perfect set. The whole design breathes luxury, glamor and sensuality.The cups are half-cups and are lightly padded. They wrap around the chest, round it and give it volume, and the lace on the top contoured even more the breast, making it ideal for those with small breasts as it gives a larger sensation or for those with large breasts, so that gives the feeling that the breasts are overflowing. I should add that the underwires of the cups are extremely comfortable and reach the entire breast from behind so that the underwires do not dig into the armpits or in your skin in the centre.The central part has a V-shaped design that goes from the breast to the centre and, creating a tremendously sensual triangle, redirects with pleasure all the attention from the breast to our intimate area. This basque is an ideal set for people who have a mummy tummy, giving them confidence, as it is a set that not only lengthens your figure, it also makes you thinner.
