Entry level hood, synthetic materials

Not bad, not great, as with most of ouch's collection it's probably 'on the lower end of quality but decent value for the price'. It's synthetic materials which do make it easy to clean but it can restrict airflow, particularly with breathing and the nose as there are only the eyeholes, and breathability is important for wearing a hood safely. I would not expect to wear this one long term in a scene or during intense activity long term for me was anything over about half an hour but others might be able to get more out of it. The other problem is the fit and lace up, which for some reason stops a few holes short of the hem. I had to keep adjusting it up and down to keep the eyes at the right place and ensure a good silhouette of the face. The included laces are very basic, barely sintered when it was cut at the ends, and they don't even come with aglets for easier lacing up.
Overall, I found that it wasn't really a good substitute for a true leather hood, the fit wasn't great and definitely not like the photo, and at this price point I'd probably suggest going for spandex or sheer nylon for more breathability rather than this solid woven material. While the eye-only design is a bit unique I feel like there are better options out there for hoods with non-restricted vision.
