LHM Leopard Seamless Blue Boxer Shorts

I was kindly chosen to review these boxers and they arrived in the normal Lovehoney way. On opening the packet, we see a nice blue leopard patterned boxers of a 55/35/10 mix of Nylon/Polyester/Elastane with a bold LHM on the front of the elasticated waistband. Trying them on, I found my size (L/XL) are quite snug for the sizing, as I had expected them to be slightly looser, but after washing a couple of times they might loosen. However, there is plenty of stretch and they sit nice and comfortable. The style, look and construction is good and pleasing, even impressing the OH!

I've never bought any kind of underwear like this before and was a bit sceptical about it to be honest, I don't have the greatest body confidence. I'm so glad I got to test these shorts though, they definitely let me see what is possible and what's out there for men. The material was really nice, super soft and smooth and the elasticness of it made sure they stayed put and gave a bit of a figure-hugging fit. They fit really emphasized the crotch area defining a nice bulge and also the shape of my buttocks. They felt so comfortable I could definitely see myself wearing them often. The pattern really appealed to me. The blue leopard print is quite a relaxed pattern and doesn't make the underwear obvious or showy but is enough for people to notice if they are looking.

Let’s face it – where leopard skin prints are concerned there’s always a danger of things going a tad Bett Lynch on you. But fortunately, there’s nothing bold and brassy about these classy trunks. I was sent a pair of the blue trunks to review and I have to say that, visually, I’m a fan of these dark blue, ‘sky at dusk’, trunks, with the subtle black leopard skin print and the LHM logo. Aside from the cool visual design the other main design feature of these trunks is their seamless construction. Yes, everything is snugly contained within one continuous stretch of fabric, both back and front, meaning that these feel super comfortable when worn as there are no major seams. There are a couple of short seams that connect the gusset area, but aside from that everything’s as smooth and silky as a leopard’s coat. The trunks are made of a stretchy nylon, polyester and elastane mix which means they are accommodating of a range of different waist sizes. I’m a 32 inch waist and the ‘S/M’ size that I was sent to test fitted perfectly and accentuated only those assets that I wanted to showcase. This is helped by the visual suggestion of a pouch, where a thick seam would normally be on a conventional pair of trunks. In this case you get your package outlined without the bulk of a seam. However, they are slightly ‘flattening’ in the package area, as opposed to enhancing. The material feels a little thicker than I was expecting but this is reflective of them being well made and of a decent quality. The only downside is that the washing instructions indicate that these need to be hand-washed in cold water, which is a bit of a pain as I much prefer to be able to bung everything in the machine. Also, they can’t go in the tumble drier. So, as nice as they look and feel they do slip into the ‘delicate and needy’ category as far as I’m concerned, which just inevitably means that they’ll probably sit in the washing basket for longer than they should! In summary, I really like the colour of these trunks and the fact that the pattern is not too in-yer-face. They fit really well and the seamless construction means that they’re really comfortable. Despite there being no pouch they do keep everything in place, but this also means that they do tend to have a bit of a flattening effect on your package. My only slight reservation is the care and attention this big blue cat needs in the laundry department.
