Does the job, but nothing more

Since stopping hormonal birth control and having a baby, we have been using condoms 100% of the time to prevent pregnancy, so it's important for us to find the right fit (so to speak!), to make sex as enjoyable as possible for both of us. I received a sample version of these Ansell Lifestyles Assorted Condoms in exchange for an honest review, so the packaging may be slightly different. They arrived in a purple box, with a colourful label on the front, and graphics on the back showing which styles of condom are included. Overall, I think the packaging is quite tasteful and eye-catching, without being too in-your-face. I was initially overwhelmed by the amount of choice you get inside, which can hardly be a bad thing! Every condom is flavoured, and there are several styles to choose from, including ribbed, dotted, classic fit, and easy fit. The flavours consist of Berry Blast, Mintensity, Vanilla Thriller, Banana Bump, Chocolate Ripple, and Sonic Strawberry. Being that we are in a long-term exclusive relationship, we don't normally use condoms for oral sex, but for the purpose of testing, I gave it a go. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they taste quite nice, and not too rubbery like some other flavoured brands are. I also love the way that the fruity ones smell - exactly like fruit jellies - although the bright colours may be off-putting for some couples! Unfortunately (due to having an all-consuming 15-month-old), we have not been able to test out every single variety of condom in the packet. However, judging by the ones that we have tried, my fiancé wasn't too impressed by the fit. He normally wears regular sized condoms with no problems, but he did find these a bit too snug and difficult to get on, so they weren't as comfortable as some other brands are. On my end, I can't say that I notice much difference when he wears these instead of our normal brand (EXS air thins or FSOG), which is slightly disappointing as we were hoping for something more stimulating. The ribbed condoms in particular were a letdown, as they weren't really ribbed at all, and instead just had very thin stripes on, which hardly add any texture. All in all, (if worn correctly) these condoms do the job at preventing pregnancy just fine, and they don't hinder sensation any more than other condoms do, however they don't really add much in the way of pleasure either. I like the flavours and the fruity smells, but other than that, our condom search continues!
