Lovehoney Moonflower Strappy Basque set has become a new favorite for us. This is the first time I purchased a basque for my OH and she instantly fell in love with it. The quality of material is top level, and the colour is a rich purple as in the pics. It fits lovely, making her feel confident and the shape makes he bum look amazing. Worn with stockings I look positively high class.

Easter came early

What better way to spend an Easter lockdown than to be able to spend it in bed and in beautiful underwear? I received the Moonflower basque set and I have to say I was so excited, it's one hundred percent me. From the gorgeous deep plum colouring and gold right down to the straps and lace, it's a stunning piece. Firstly I'm a size 10/12 so I normally go for the medium in sizing, however this set in particular is one size. I'm also a 34E so I was a little wary of one sizing as I usually need a good fitting cup to give some sort of shape and support. I also don't like my boobs to get flattened like some basques without wiring can do. The basque itself is sheer and is made of a soft lace and mesh like material with strapping running across the front and to the back. The cups themselves then are made from beautiful delicate lace, with further strapping around the shoulders and back. What can I say? It fits beautifully and skims and hugs all my curves, in all the right places. The basque is also incredibly flattering and really striking when on, so let's just say my partner was really excited to see me in it. I love the look, I'm really into strapping as I find it very sexy, so it certainly didn't disappoint. The suspender straps were easy to clip and stayed put, I usually like a chunky strap for suspenders but I like how dainty they're are finished with the gold, it finishes the look really nicely when teamed with black stockings. My only niggle I guess, is I like I said previously, a bit of support in underwear as I have bigger boobs, but saying that everything sat comfortably and my chest wasn't flattened by the cups. The only issue I had I guess was the G-string, it wasn't my thing and it came up a little bigger than I like but it matches lovely with the set and is comfortable to wear. Summary This is such a lovely little set to lift your mood. I'll admit, the Moonflower basque set is not usually my type of underwear I go for. I'm not confident to usually bare all, but I really liked wearing it and my husband was super excited for me to wear it too. The sizing was perfect for me (10/12) and absolutely flattering, whilst still drop dead sexy with all the pretty lace. I have to say I'm one happy little bunny.

Gorgeous and so sexy

This gorgeous Lovehoney Moonflower Basque is so sexy and is the most subtle and stunning shade of purple, what I personally think of as Lovehoney purple, and I adore the colour. The attention to detail is simply amazing. I love the satin trims which sit beneath the bust and around the waist, shimmering sensuously, and the pretty lace detail is beautifully done, the lace even matching perfectly all the way down the front of the basque. The little cross-over satin straps at the front sit perfectly between my breasts, due to the way that they're crossed over where they're attached at the front of the basque. The detailing on the back is so very sexy, a deep v with the shimmering satin bands enhancing the waist and bra section. There are two beautiful lace panels and satin straps leading up the back to racer back strapping coming from the shoulder straps, but even the attention to details is stunning here, both of the shoulder straps are attached to a double loop of satin, so pretty and so much detail has gone into this gorgeous basque. There are four satin suspender straps, which are easily removable if you prefer to wear hold ups. The basque itself is fully adjustable. The shoulder straps at the back can be adjusted, as can the satin bands at the waist and underneath the bust. There are silver metal sliders on the satin bands at the back to allow you to adjust the basque to fit a variety of sizes and there's plenty of adjustment there, but it will also fit smaller sizes perfectly. The basque itself comes in one size. It's delicate yet supportive, even for me. I'm 5'3" with a 32F bust and weigh nine stone and wear a size 10, if this is of any help. The thong is beautiful too. Trimmed around the top with shimmering elasticated satin and a beautiful lace panel at the front, it's a proper piece of lingerie. The gusset is even lined. Wearing the Lovehoney Moonflower Basque, I felt like a million dollars. It fits like a glove and feels incredibly sexy. A quick hand wash and it's still like new. This sexy basque certainly gets the right reaction. I get a wow. You look stunning each time I wear it. It's definitely worth adding this stunningly pretty basque to your collection. I can't recommend it highly enough if you want to get somebody's pulses racing.

Beautiful

The Lovehoney Moonflower Strappy Basque Set arrives packaged in a clear sealed bag. Inside, you will find the basque neatly folded with a Lovehoney care label attached with sizing info. The inner label contains the material composition. The Lovehoney Moonflower Strappy Basque Set is made from lovely soft lace and mesh. The lace has a beautiful shimmering floral pattern and makes up most of the basque, apart from the two side panels of mesh, this adds a very sexy look. The front features a deep V-plunge neckline, with criss-cross straps. Under the bust, there is a shiny band of stretchy elastic, and another one at the waistline, I really loved this style feature as it emphasises your shape beautifully. The rich purple colour of this basque is beautiful, and it's my favourite colour! The back of this body is absolutely stunning, all the straps really draw attention to your back and it's very sexy. There are four detachable suspender straps, I chose to keep them on and add stockings to complete a very sexy lingerie look. The basque also comes supplied with a pretty matching lace thong. As expected, it was all put together very well and the material felt luxurious and of a high quality. For review purposes, I am a size 10/12 and 5 feet 6” tall. This basque is a one size garment, and it fitted me perfectly. I felt amazing wearing this basque, it looked incredibly sexy and complemented my pear shape figure. My OH adored me in this basque and couldn’t keep his hands off me. The Lovehoney Moonflower Strappy Basque Set is easy to care for, the recommended cold hand wash only takes a few minutes and it dries really quickly. This would be a great lingerie piece to take on holiday, as it can be folded into a small square, and it wouldn’t take up much space in your suitcase. Overall, the Lovehoney Moonflower Strappy Basque Set is a beautiful piece of lingerie. It has a gorgeous design, it's very easy to wear and it's super sexy. A head turner

I was chosen to test this basque in exchange for an honest review. Thanks so much to Brenna and the Lovehoney team for the opportunity. Before starting, these are my measurements: I'm 5ft1, UK size 10, 34 D bra, with a pear shape body. My figure is rather curvy with a round bum and chunky thighs and a smaller waist in proportion. Whilst my stomach area is reasonably toned, sadly I have a lower belly mum bulge and a C-section scar. Usually, my chosen lingerie needs to disguise this flaw. Upon unpacking and holding the basque in my hands, my first impressions were very good: I love structured lingerie because it accentuates my curvy shape, but I hate feeling restricted and self-conscious about zippers being opened, hooks coming undone or any sort of wardrobe malfunction. How lovely that this is a basque, but it's easy to put it on and take it off, without hassle, a bit like a chemise. I also loved the detailed design, that's something important to me, having lingerie in unusual styles. Oh and the colour, purple is one of my favourites and I'd say even though this is more like a plum, still looks gorgeous, sultry against the light, matching my pale brunette skin perfectly. Mesh and lace are a great combo and they both feel so soft against the skin. The lace detailing that goes all the way from the cups down to the tummy, is positioned in sort of a triangular way, which gives definition to the waist. Furthermore, the adjustable satin straps across this part of the body, gives it even more shape. The one size reviewed by me fits well on my figure. It elongates my body thanks to the vertical stitching alongside the lace, that catches the eye from the cups down to to the suspender. The bra straps can be adjusted and there's another back strap which helps with the fitting too. Suspenders are always an issue for me since I'm very short so I like the fact these are removable. Having said that, for reviewing purposes I've attached them to stockings and they were not that long, so I guess that's a plus. I love the silver metal sliders which match perfectly the Lovehoney silver little heart. Judging by the fitting on my figure, I'd say that there's enough stretching to fit bigger sizes. I'm a 10, but very curvy, so it'd perhaps accommodate up to a small 16. My belly is totally covered as the length sits on top of the g-string. Ladies with bigger cups than a D might not have enough material to cover their nipples. I've no spillage by my armpits, but at the centre, my boobs escape a fair bit, which I don't mind at all - lol. To change the focus away from my bottom, I enjoy having attention to my chest area. OMG, this basque frames my small shoulders beautifully as it's so feminine, with a criss-cross positioned at the front and the back, attached to the double side straps. This is just gorgeous. Even though there's no padding or underwire in the cups, my boobs look lovely. Instead of being tied behind the neck, the halterneck is adjusted all the way down to the middle of the shoulder blades. Racier than the front, the back of the outfit is va-va-voom. There's more flesh on display and the see-through mesh invites hungry eyes to see what's underneath. It hugs my back in all the right places and it makes the most of my booty. The length is just on top of my bum and it looks so sexy with the g-string. Talking about the g-string, this one is surprisingly nice, more like a thong which for me is good news, since I love thongs. Overall I'd say this basque is stunning, practical and comfortable - qualities that are not easily found in this particular style. The seamless lines, the attention to detail, the silver bits and the colour are great. It made me feel glamorous, yet comfy. And because I'm a very practical and busy woman, I must mention that's easy to hand-wash and dry it fairly quick and it's easy to fold it and store. The only thing I'm not totally happy about is the length of the suspender straps, I always think they should allow for shorter adjustment, but then this is a personal problem that someone short as me would have anyway and not the lingerie's issue.

Nearly there, but not quite

Again, another review for LH lingerie that nearly gets it right for me but doesn't quite hit the mark. Firstly, I'd like to say, Purple is my favourite colour...Ever! So naturally I was instantly attracted to this basque set when I first glanced upon an social media influencer wearing it. As soon as it arrived and I opened the discreetly packaged present to myself, I rushed to remove my clothing and don this bad boy. However, as soon as I gazed upon myself in the mirror I knew this was not a good fit for me. The straps can be slightly adjusted in order to get more hold for the chest area but for me not only was there no hold, my boobs were practically trying to escape! A tiny piece of material was the only thing preventing this from happening and it felt like a constant battle to try and contain them as I moved about the room. The rest of the garment was a pretty good fit, however I didn't manage to try on the attached underwear as the top wasn't enough to win me over. Hopefully there will be a basque out there that I could happily wear and feel comfortable with, sadly this was not the one.

As always great fast and decreet delivery. Once I opened the package I noticed how the Basque set was in a clear cellophane bag. Nothing special, but you could always pop it into a box if it was for a gift which would really finish it off. First impressions was how lovely the colour was. It's a real plum purple. It's a colour I've never been drawn to before but I wasnt disappointed. It made a really change from your normal black and reds. I'm 5ft 7 and around size 16/ small18. I go for the bigger size because I dont like them hugging my lumps and bumps. I also have a 36E cup, which I find unless u go for plus size they never really fit into anything. I found the Basque a bit hard to put on. There is a lot of straps which do take some time to get your head into. Once on I pulled it down and it fitted like a glove, a little on the snug size. I dont think it would actually fit anyone bigger than I small 18, without some discomfort. The material isnt streachy which could be why it was slightly tighter than what I'm normally use to. The Basque really is beautiful and very well made however it didnt suit my figure. After having children I have dropped boobies and a mum tum, this basque didn't do anything for either. When ever I moved one of my boobs would fall out and then by the time I would put it back the other was out. Very frustrating. The belly wasnt as bad but it just did my belly absolutely no favours. It clung to the wrong places. The straps for suspenders was easy to apply and stayed in place throughout. The thong is adverage, slightly bigger than exspected but cant moan for comfort. Its basic and nothing special but it does go well with the set. If your confident then I would say this Basque set is amazing and great value for money however I wouldnt be thrilled to wear it again.

Lovely... stunning actually

I was lucky enough to have been chosen to review this item - thank you, Lovehoney. It arrived quickly in the standard plain box that Lovehoney always sends its items out in so safe from prying eyes (in case you're worried about family members or the postie raising their eyebrows). Inside the box was a plain cellophane bag that was holding the most beautiful, delicate piece of lingerie I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. The colour is a rich plum that looks expensive and sophisticated and the fabric is a soft, non-scratchy lace with a fine stretch mesh. The basque itself is constructed to flatter with the lace panels suggesting an hourglass curve and the Vs front and back exposing cleavage in front and drawing the eye to your bottom in the back. The straps give it that extra touch of sexiness. The matching G-string put a smile on my face as, for once, the waistband is made of a wider-than-normal band usually found in this type of set (so won't twist or cut in) and matches decorative banding on the body of the basque. The bands are adjustable at the back and are both decorative and supportive. A godsend for anyone like me who's carrying a few extra pounds that they're conscious of and/or has a heavier bust that might need some support. The band at the waist adds to the hourglass effect and the G-string band accentuates the curve of the hips. The mesh smooths any lumps or bumps. The suspender straps are also adjustable and removable. There are no bones or hooks and eyes with this basque, you just pull it on. This can be a useful for people who may have a problem with their hands or don't like the restriction of boning. Despite this being such a beautiful piece I was a bit disappointed to see that it wasn't underwired. All my underwear/lingerie is underwired as I'm rather tall and busty but with a wide ribcage. I have a pretty wide-set cleavage that I've never been fond of since my ex pointed it out to me decades ago (and I was young and impressionable enough to listen!). As a result, I've always bought underwired items as they do give me more of a "sexy oomph" look. Anyway, I adjusted the straps and pulled the basque on. I looked in the mirror expecting to be a little disappointed but, wow! I was genuinely taken aback that I looked so good (and I'm my biggest critic)! The shaping of the lace, the smoothing effect of the mesh, the pretty lace cups (unpadded, a tad small and a little see-through) and most of all, the straps that cross over the cleavage that actually made me look like I have a nice cleavage. Some basques and bras I've tried have the decorative straps sewn into the wrong place so they don't flatter. However, the little straps on this are in exactly the right place to enhance. I love that I can change the whole look by just taking the suspender straps off. With them on with a pair of stockings, the basque is sexy. With them off it's more delicate and almost demure-looking. I'd had the basque several days before my partner came home and was able to give his opinion. I'd decided to go "demure-ish" and greeted him wearing just the basque and an open robe. It was the first time I've seen him speechless - though his face said it all. Some time later I asked him what he thought of it. I'd wondered if he'd noticed the lack of underwiring but he said he hadn't. Just that he thought it was "lovely... stunning actually" and then asked if it had cost a lot. As a review item I don't know what it cost but I'd pay it whatever as my partner honestly thought I'd bought it from a lingerie shop in town that only sells expensive items! For reference, I'm an 18/20 in most items with a 38DD/E bust. I usually buy a 1X/2X in Lovehoney lingerie. This little set is so gorgeous. The rest of the garment was a pretty good fit, however I didn't manage to try on the attached underwear as the top wasn't enough to win me over. Hopefully there will be a basque out there that I could happily wear and feel comfortable with, sadly this was not the one.

Not for me

As always great fast and decreet delivery. Once I opened the package I noticed how the Basque set was in a clear cellophane bag. Nothing special, but you could always pop it into a box if it was for a gift which would really finish it off. First impressions was how lovely the colour was. It's a real plum purple. It's a colour I've never been drawn to before but I wasnt disappointed. It made a really change from your normal black and reds. I'm 5ft 7 and around size 16/ small18. I go for the bigger size because I dont like them hugging my lumps and bumps. I also have a 36E cup, which I find unless u go for plus size they never really fit into anything. I found the Basque a bit hard to put on. There is a lot of straps which do take some time to get your head into. Once on I pulled it down and it fitted like a glove, a little on the snug size. I dont think it would actually fit anyone bigger than I small 18, without some discomfort. The material isnt streachy which could be why it was slightly tighter than what I'm normally use to. The Basque really is beautiful and very well made however it didnt suit my figure. After having children I have dropped boobies and a mum tum, this basque didn't do anything for either. When ever I moved one of my boobs would fall out and then by the time I would put it back the other was out. Very frustrating. The belly wasnt as bad but it just did my belly absolutely no favours. It clung to the wrong places. The straps for suspenders was easy to apply and stayed in place throughout. The thong is adverage, slightly bigger than exspected but cant moan for comfort. Its basic and nothing special but it does go well with the set. If your confident then I would say this Basque set is amazing and great value for money however I wouldnt be thrilled to wear it again.

Lovely... stunning actually

I was lucky enough to have been chosen to review this item - thank you, Lovehoney. It arrived quickly in the standard plain box that Lovehoney always sends its items out in so safe from prying eyes (in case you're worried about family members or the postie raising their eyebrows). Inside the box was a plain cellophane bag that was holding the most beautiful, delicate piece of lingerie I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. The colour is a rich plum that looks expensive and sophisticated and the fabric is a soft, non-scratchy lace with a fine stretch mesh. The basque itself is constructed to flatter with the lace panels suggesting an hourglass curve and the Vs front and back exposing cleavage in front and drawing the eye to your bottom in the back. The straps give it that extra touch of sexiness. The matching G-string put a smile on my face as, for once, the waistband is made of a wider-than-normal band usually found in this type of set (so won't twist or cut in) and matches decorative banding on the body of the basque. The bands are adjustable at the back and are both decorative and supportive. A godsend for anyone like me who's carrying a few extra pounds that they're conscious of and/or has a heavier bust that might need some support. The band at the waist adds to the hourglass effect and the G-string band accentuates the curve of the hips. The mesh smooths any lumps or bumps. The suspender straps are also adjustable and removable. There are no bones or hooks and eyes with this basque, you just pull it on. This can be a useful for people who may have a problem with their hands or don't like the restriction of boning. Despite this being such a beautiful piece I was a bit disappointed to see that it wasn't underwired. All my underwear/lingerie is underwired as I'm rather tall and busty but with a wide ribcage. I have a pretty wide-set cleavage that I've never been fond of since my ex pointed it out to me decades ago (and I was young and impressionable enough to listen!). As a result, I've always bought underwired items as they do give me more of a "sexy oomph" look. Anyway, I adjusted the straps and pulled the basque on. I looked in the mirror expecting to be a little disappointed but, wow! I was genuinely taken aback that I looked so good (and I'm my biggest critic)! The shaping of the lace, the smoothing effect of the mesh, the pretty lace cups (unpadded, a tad small and a little see-through) and most of all, the straps that cross over the cleavage that actually made me look like I have a nice cleavage. Some basques and bras I've tried have the decorative straps sewn into the wrong place so they don't flatter. However, the little straps on this are in exactly the right place to enhance. I love that I can change the whole look by just taking the suspender straps off. With them on with a pair of stockings, the basque is sexy. With them off it's more delicate and almost demure-looking. I'd had the basque several days before my partner came home and was able to give his opinion. I'd decided to go "demure-ish" and greeted him wearing just the basque and an open robe. It was the first time I've seen him speechless - though his face said it all. Some time later I asked him what he thought of it. I'd wondered if he'd noticed the lack of underwiring but he said he hadn't. Just that he thought it was "lovely... stunning actually" and then asked if it had cost a lot. As a review item I don't know what it cost but I'd pay it whatever as my partner honestly thought I'd bought it from a lingerie shop in town that only sells expensive items! For reference, I'm an 18/20 in most items with a 38DD/E bust. I usually buy a 1X/2X in Lovehoney lingerie. This little set is so gorgeous. The design, fabric, details and colour - absolutely everything is spot-on. Love it!

Easter came early

What better way to spend a Easter lockdown than to be able to spend it in bed and in beautiful underwear? I recieved the Moonflower basque set and I have to say I was so excited, its one hundred percent me. From the gorgeous deep plum colouring and gold right down to the straps and lace, it's a stunning piece. Firstly I'm a size 10/12 so I normally go for the medium in sizing, however this set in particular is "one size". I'm also a 34E so I was a little weary of one sizing as I usually need a good fitting cup to give some sort of shape and support. I also don't like my boobs to get flattened like some basques without wiring can do. The basque itself is sheer and is made of a soft lace and mesh like material with strapping running across the front and to the back. The cups themselves then are made from beautiful delicate lace, with further strapping around the shoulders and back. What can I say? It fits beautifully and skims and hugs all my curves, in all the right places. The basque is also incredibly flattering and really striking when on, so let's just say my partner was really excited to see me in it. I love the look, I'm really into strapping as I find it very sexy, so it certainly didn't disappoint. The suspender straps were easy to clip and stayed put, I usually like a chunky strap for suspenders but I like how dainty they're are finished with the gold, it finishes the look really nicely when teamed with black stockings. My only niggle I guess, is I like I said previously, a bit of support in underwear as I have bigger boobs, but saying that everything sat comfortably and my chest wasn't flattened by the cups. The only issue I had I guess was the gstring, it wasn't my thing and it came up a little bigger than I like but it matches lovely with the set and is comfortable to wear. Summary This is such a lovely little set to lift your mood. I'll admit, the Moonflower basque set is not usually my type of underwear I go for. I'm not confident to usually bare all, but I really liked wearing it and my husband was super excited for me to wear it too. The sizing was perfect for me (10/12) and absolutely flattering, whilst still drop dead sexy with all the pretty lace. I have to say im one happy little bunny.

This item arrived in the post I opened the box the item was good quality however it is way too small. this item is a one size fits all. But I'm a size 14 and when I tried it on it was way too small so it's definitely not one size fits all it would only fit people who are sizes 8-12

Lovely but too tight

I was very excited to receive this but unfortunately I was disappointed. Although the straps are adjustable, which is great, I just found they were still too tight. It basically cut me in half at the stomach. I do have a soft stomach but just didn't expect it to be that unflattering.
