Bound to Please Riding Crop

We Love This

We have a few paddles and floggers in our toy collection but we have never had a crop, so when the opportunity arose to test this little beauty out we were all for it and lucky enough to be selected, so thank you Lovehoney. The Fifty Shades of Grey Bound to You Riding Crop is a thing of beauty. It looks stunning. It seems to me to be extremely well made and looks like it is made to last. The handle has a really nice soft feel rubber covering tipped with metal fitting that just add a little something to its overall look.The flexible shaft has a soft braided covering, and if I remember correctly this is a vegan friendly product, so I assume the tress is made from some man-made leather alternative, but again seems to be of a very good quality. Knowing nothing about riding crops, I could not tell you if this is light heavy or about average, but Mrs Onlyones did not find it a strain on the wrist as she was the one wielding it. In use I have to say, being on the receiving end, I did not find this to be especially painful. However, part of that may have been Mrs Onlyones going a little easier as she has never used a crop. However, the following morning she did notice that she had managed to leave a few bruise, though in all honesty if she had not mentioned them I would never have known as I could not feel them at all. I am fairly certain that this is going to be getting its fair share of playtime, for which I cannot wait, and some of our other impact toys might be collecting a little dust.

I need to start this review by mentioning something that I almost never talk about: packaging. The outer brown Lovehoney box I received this in was huge. I may only be just under 5ft5 but the box was pretty much the length of my leg. Obviously it is still discreet in the sense it doesn't say who it is from or what is in it, but it isn't the most hideable of boxes! I also need to mention the actual product packaging itself. The crop came in what is ultimately a Manila envelope with Fifty Shades of Grey printed on the bottom. Obviously this has been done to be more eco friendly (which is a fantastic thing) but it is worth mentioning as many of the FSoG products Lovehoney have done over the years have come with fancy (giftworthy) packaging. You do still get the satin storage bag though which is a nice touch. The crop itself is really nice. The quality is clearly there and all the parts are well finished. It is a nice length and great for use in the bedroom without knocking everything flying on your backswing! You can be both out of arms reach of your partner or up close with this crop. The grip on the handle gives me lots of confidence that the crop won't slip in my hand and is actually really comfortable to hold, unlike some which can end up digging in. You do also get the wrist strap for even more security. The crop is plenty flexible so you get some nice bounce (and great swoosh noises) without being unwieldy. It is a good weight and well balanced. This all makes it nice and easy to use and to vary the amount of force you are using. The tip gives a good sting sensation on impact complete with a very satisfying noise. This crop is brilliant for both light taps and hard whacks and everything in between, all of which give a good noise so you get the full punishment soundtrack without needing to take a lot of pain. However, don't be fooled, this crop still has a delicious bite to it if you want to play that way. If you want to try something different, then you can turn the crop sideways for a more intense sting. The only possibly negative thing I would say about the tip is about the FSoG logo. The quality of the printing isn't great. I realise that printing onto a bumpy surface is always going to be tricky but it does look a little like it has started to rub off slightly (even before I had used it). It does still clearly say Fifty Shades of Grey but I do wonder whether the printing will stand the test of time. As someone who isn't a fan of the franchise itself, this is not an issue for me at all but if you want to preserve the logo, you might want to make sure you hit with the other side of the tip (the logo is only on one side). If you aren't a fan of the franchise but do like the look of the crop, it could be fun to see if you can spank the logo off! I am a big fan of riding crops generally, and this is a really good one. As much as I like colour normally, the black and antique gold just really works for me; the whole look is just reassuringly classic. The Fifty Shades of Grey Bound to You Riding Crop is a thing of beauty it looks stunning,it seems to me to be extremely well made and looks like it is made to last.The handle has a really nice soft feel rubber covering tipped with metal fitting that just add a little something to it's overall look.The flexible shaft has a soft braided covering and if i remember correctly this is a vegan friendly product so i assume the tress is made from some man made leather alternative but again seems to be of a very good quality. Knowing nothing about riding crops i could not tell you if this is light heavy or about average but Mrs Onlyones did not find it a strain on the wrist as she was the one wielding it. In use i have to say being on the receiving end i did not find this to be especially painful however part of that may have been Mrs Onlyones going a little easier as she has never used a crop, however the following morning she did notice that she had managed to leave a few bruise though in all honesty if she had not mentioned them i would never have known as i could not feel them at all. I am fairly certain that this is going to be getting it's fair share of play time for which i cannot wait and some of our other impact toys might be collecting a little dust.

Quality Vegan Crop

I was asked test this crop in return for an honest review – thanks Lovehoney! The Fifty Shades of Grey Bound to You crop arrives in simple paper packaging which is great to see! It’s also lovely to see more vegan options in bondage coming out now – which is fantastic. Inside the long paper case the crop arrives in a beautiful black satin storage pouch.The great thing about this crop, is that it is suitable for beginners and experienced users alike. The shaft is slightly shorter than other crops I own, giving a total length of 22 inches. The handle is very well made too, with a classy criss-cross pattern, and brass accents – it really feels lovely in your hand.There is a wrist loop for ease of use – which also can be used hang up your crop for storage. The quality of this product is of a very high standard!This is a really lovely crop – the smooth black faux leather tip which provides anything from a mild tingle, to a very intense slapping sting, depending upon how it is used. Due to the perfect size of the tip and the slightly shorter shaft, you are able to very accurately hit your target every time!This Fifty Shades of Grey Crop has just the right amount of flexibility in the shaft and provides a great range of sensations - from stroking sensuously over your partners body to full on deep thwacks. I would highly recommend this crop. With superb attention to detail, the Fifty Shades of Grey Bound to You Crop is a ‘must-have’ for your bondage collection.

Fifty Shades of Sting

I need to start this review by mentioning something that I almost never talk about: packaging. The outer brown Lovehoney box I received this in was huge. I may only be just under 5ft5 but the box was pretty much the length of my leg. Obviously it is still discreet in the sense it doesn't say who it is from or what is in it, but it isn't the most hideable of boxes! I also need to mention the actual product packaging itself. The crop came in what is ultimately a manilla envelope with Fifty Shades of Grey printed on the bottom. Obviously this has been done to be more eco friendly (which is a fantastic thing) but it is worth mentioning as many of the FSoG products Lovehoney have done over the years have come with fancy (giftworthy) packaging. You do still get the satin storage bag though which is a nice touch. The crop itself is really nice. The quality is clearly there and all the parts are well finished. It is a nice length and great for use in the bedroom without knocking everything flying on your back swing! You can be both out of arms reach of your partner or up close with this crop. The grip on the handle gives me lots of confidence that the crop won't slip in my hand and is actually really comfortable to hold, unlike some which can end up digging in. You do also get the wrist strap for even more security. The crop is plenty flexible so you get some nice bounce (and great swoosh noises) without being unwieldy. It is a good weight and well balanced. This all makes it nice and easy to use and to vary the amount of force you are using. The tip gives a good sting sensation on impact complete with very satisfying noise. This crop is brilliant for both light taps and hard whacks and everything in between, all of which give a good noise so you get the full punishment soundtrack without needing to take a lot of pain. However, don't be fooled, this crop still has a delicious bite to it if you want to play that way. If you want to try something different, then you can turn the crop sideways for a more intense sting. The only possibly negative thing I would say about the tip is about the FSoG logo. The quality of the printing isn't great. I realise that printing onto a bumpy surface is always going to be tricky but it does look a little like it has started to rub off slightly (even before I had used it). It does still clearly say Fifty Shades of Grey but I do wonder whether the printing will last the test of time. As someone who isn't a fan of the franchise itself, this is not an issue for me at all but if you want to preserve the logo, you might want to make sure you hit with the other side of the tip (the logo is only on one side). If you aren't a fan of the franchise but do like the look of the crop, it could be fun to see if you can spank the logo off! I am a big fan of riding crops generally, and this is a really good one. There is something about a riding crop that just helps me get into a dominant headspace far more than any other toy. As much as I like colour normally, the black and antique gold just really works for me; the whole look is just reassuringly classic.Regardless of whether or not you are a FSoG fan, if you are looking for a riding crop, this would definitely be a fantastic choice.

Made well, should have read the dimensions as it's alot smaller than I had imagined. Wish the 50 shades branding was easier to scratch off tho however ????
