Following the initial screen, the Mandelin Reagent is used to further confirm MDMA and rule out specific adulterants. Mandelin is particularly useful in distinguishing MDMA from other substances such as PMA, PMMA, Meth, and Ketamine. It is important to note that Mandelin reagent is naturally yellow before reacting with a substance. The specific color change observed after mixing provides critical data regarding the substance's identity, helping to flag dangerous cuts that may not show up in the initial Marquis test.

The kit also includes the Mecke Reagent, which, while originally designed for testing opiates, has become a valuable tool in modern substance testing. It is particularly useful for detecting specific cuts such as Eutylone and various Cathinones, while also assisting in confirming the presence of MDMA. This reagent adds another layer of verification, ensuring that synthetic cathinones, which can have severe health effects, are identified.

For more precise differentiation, the kit features two binary tests: the Simons Reagent and the Robodope Reagent. The Simons Reagent is a two-part test (Parts A and B) that reacts to secondary amines. This specific reaction allows users to distinguish between MDMA and MDA, as well as between Methamphetamine and Amphetamine. This distinction is vital, as MDA and Amphetamine have different physiological effects and risk profiles compared to MDMA.

The Robodope Reagent is another binary test (Parts A and B) that reacts exclusively to primary amines. In the context of this MDMA kit, it is used to determine if a cut such as MDA or Amphetamine is present. If the substance contains primary amines, the Robodope test will react, indicating the presence of these specific adulterants.
