Before turning up the heat with your partner establish a safe word, then make sure you’re not near anything flammable like tissues or hairspray, and don’t set yourself up under the drapes.
Prepare the skin by removing hair and adding moisturiser or oil so the wax is easier to clean off later.
When you’re ready, strike the match and let the candle burn until it’s reached an even melt, approximately 20 minutes or so. Blow out the flame to reduce risk of burns or fire and drip the wax onto your lover, starting with less sensitive areas like the back before working up to more sensitive areas – checking in as you go.
